Sam Gilbey is an art director and designer with over a decade of experience in interactive and graphic design, and has created websites, branding and printed matter for clients both large and small.
Whether working through respected design agencies such as Preloaded, This is Real Art, LBi and AIS London as a freelancer, or directly for end clients such as MTV Networks and Endemol/Zeppotron, Sam loves to get the smallest details just right, whilst keeping the bigger picture in mind.
When working directly with clients, Sam brings together great freelance developers, animators, producers and anyone else required, seeing projects through to completion under his creative direction.
He's worked on several award-winning projects, which have included receiving recognition at the BIMAs, and his work has also been featured in the Creative Review annual.
Sam was a key Pixelsurgeon team member, acting first as music editor, then senior editor for the popular design and pop culture website, writing numerous music, film and game reviews, and interviewing musicians and film directors.
